RCA National Conference – Registration Open

Registration for the 2024 Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) National Conference and Semi-Annual Meeting is now open!

This year’s theme is United by Water – Building Connections and Collaboration.

The two-day annual conference will be held in picturesque Québec City, Québec on the traditional lands of the Huron-Wendat (Wendake-Nionwentsïo) Nations. RCA will welcome the nation’s rowing community from January 26-28, 2024, at the Hilton Québec, located on Parliament Hill and steps away from old Québec.

Coinciding with the excitement of the Carnaval de Québec’s 70th anniversary, immerse yourself in the vibrant exchange of rowing insights against the backdrop of Québec’s rich cultural history where you are sure to create an unforgettable experience for enthusiasts and experts alike. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the past and learn about the future of rowing in the heart of one of Canada’s most enchanting cities.

There is something for all leaders in our sport at the 2024 RCA National Conference, with three streams offered:  Coaching, Rowing For All and Thriving Organizations.

Effective leadership at all levels requires continued practice, reflection, and re-evaluation. During a keynote session: Exploring the Connection Between Invitation & Innovation, Nouman Ashraf will prompt our thinking on the connections between how our stance impacts the culture of equity and inclusion within our respective teams and organizations.

Dr. Francois Rodrigue will take the stage for another keynote session: Balancing the Delicate Art of Modern High-Performance Coaching, explaining the importance of self-reflection on your own career path for a sustainable coaching journey ahead. Coaches and club personnel will be able to identify the type of environment that exists at their own rowing club and its impact on the development of resilient athletes.

We have returning events such as the RegattaCentral Wine and Cheese on Friday, January 26 and the RCA Excellence Awards evening taking place on Saturday, January 27, and we have built in several opportunities to connect with the rowing community outside of conference sessions.

Details about a special Canot à Glace Experience add-on activity exclusively for RCA National Conference delegates on Thursday, January 25, 2024 will be announced shortly. If you are interested in this activity please contact us now so we can provide you information.
