RCA Independent Review Accountability Committee

Purpose

In accordance with RCA bylaws and governance policy, the RCA Board of Directors has resolved to form an Independent Review Accountability Committee. This committee will be responsible for assisting the RCA Board in ensuring the fulfillment of the implementation of recommendations emerging from the Independent Review of RCA’s high-performance programs and systems, structures, and policies related to governance and management.
 
The RCA Independent Review Accountability Committee is constituted pursuant to the Board’s authority set out in section 15 of the Bylaws and RCA’s Governance Policy, Section 6. The mandate and responsibilities of the Independent Review Accountability Committee are contained in its Terms of Reference, which have been duly approved by the RCA Board of Directors.  

Qualifications include professional knowledge and experience in any of the following:

• Sport governance, policy, and leadership in Canada
• Organizational culture and change
• Safe Sport policy and procedure and the UCCMS
• High performance sport programming
• Mental and physical health in sport
• Ethics in sport
• The athlete experience
• The independent organizational review process
