Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) held its Annual Meeting on September 17, 2026 where the RCA Member Club delegates voted to elect two Directors at Large to the organization’s Board of Directors. Janet Bolton was elected and Charles Minett was re-elected to the RCA Board and will both serve 3-year terms concluding in 2029. In addition, the RCA Member Clubs voted to confirm Dr. Volker Nolte in the position of Provincial Director, serving a 3-year term ending in 2029.

We would like to thank Mike Bryden and Derek Ventnor, whose terms on the Board have concluded, for their service and contributions.

Tracey Black, RCA President, thanked Mike and Derek with a special message. “I’d like to sincerely thank Mike Bryden and Derek Ventnor for their time, commitment, and service to the RCA Board. We’re grateful for the contributions you have both made during your time on the Board and for the dedication you have shown to our organization and the broader rowing community.”

With the results of the election announced, Tracey shared a welcome to the new and re-elected Board members saying, “congratulations, we look forward to the expertise, leadership, and perspective you’ll bring to the RCA Board of Directors.”
