Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) is pleased to announce that the 2026 World Beach Sprint Selection Overview and Selection Process document is now available on the RCA website.
The document outlines the selection pathway for athletes and boat handlers seeking nomination to Canada’s 2026 World Beach Sprint Team, including eligibility requirements, regional qualification opportunities, selection camp information, and key competition dates.
The selection process includes regional events in Ontario, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia, followed by a senior selection camp scheduled for August 1–2, 2026, on Vancouver Island. Selected athletes may be nominated to represent Canada at the 2026 World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals in Qingdao, China.
“This year is setting the stage for a busy 2027 season,” said Adam Parfitt, High Performance Director at Rowing Canada Aviron. “With the Pan American Games expected to include beach sprints and Olympic qualifiers on the horizon, there are a number of initiatives that will be implemented to strengthen our beach program.”
Athletes interested in participating are encouraged to review the full document and complete their Expression of Interest through CrewLAB.
The full selection overview is available at the RCA website resources page.
