Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager will play a crucial role in managing the financial activities of RCA. The successful candidate will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and human resources administration for RCA.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for financial planning and forecasting, managing cash flow, and optimizing financial processes to support RCA’s strategic objectives. They will also liaise with external auditors, funding agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability in financial matters.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in financial management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and forecasts
  • Prepare financial statements and reports as required
  • Analyze financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments and collections
  • Oversee financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Liaise with auditors, funding agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Provide financial guidance and support to staff and management

The individual will ideally possess a post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and should also have the following:

Qualifications:

  • Relevant financial designation or qualification commensurate with the role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel, SharePoint and MS Teams; experience with QuickBooks or similar software preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the sport industry or with non-profit organizations is an asset
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset

Top candidates will have a combination of these skills and attributes with previous experience working within the Canadian Sport system.
