What’s the difference between a disabled parking spot and an accessible parking spot? Do you know why we talk about athletes with a disability, instead of disabled athletes? This presentation will help participants understand why language matters.

Join us to find out how we can make rowing more inclusive for people with a disability who choose to participate in rowing. By thinking about the language we use we can easily become more inclusive in ways that make a difference beyond accessibility in the parking lot. Coaches and club leadership will leave with concrete examples and be better resourced to welcome Para athletes into their clubs.
