Selection Trials for the 2025 National Beach Sprint Team will take place from July 19-22, 2025, at Rissers Beach, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia.

In collaboration with RCA, Row Nova Scotia will host the National Beach Sprint Selection Trials, offering athletes an opportunity to showcase their skills and vie for a place on the national team.

Event Outline

• Course Practice: Athletes can familiarize themselves with the course on Friday, July 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Selection Trials: Competitions will be held on Saturday, July 19, and Sunday, July 20 to determine top-performing athletes.
• Beach Selection Camp: Based on trial results, the top athletes will be invited to participate in the selection camp from Monday, July 21, to Tuesday, July 22.

International Representation

Athletes selected from the Beach Selection Camp will earn the opportunity to represent Canada at two prestigious global competitions:

• World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals | October 23-26 | Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
• Commonwealth Rowing Association Beach Sprint Championship | November 21-23 | Bridgetown, Barbados

Additional details, including the full regatta package, will be released later this spring. Athletes can anticipate notable differences from the 2024 selection process.
