- Mar 21, 2025
Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) is pleased to announce that the 2025 Canadian Masters Championship Regatta will be held Sunday August 3, in conjunction with Henley Masters, on the Martindale Pond in St. Catharines, Ontario. This marks an exciting opportunity for Masters rowers from across Canada to compete at one of the country’s most historic rowing venues.
“The Henley Commission is delighted to once again hand out the Canadian Masters Championship Gold alongside the Henley Masters Gold,” said Serge Paquin, Henley Commissioner. “Over the last two years, we have seen a return to pre-pandemic numbers in the Masters Regatta and hope to welcome over 300 athletes again in 2025.”
Henley Gold will be awarded to the fastest crew in each race, while only the top Canadian crew will receive the Canadian Masters Championship Gold Medal. This format allows international crews to compete while ensuring national recognition for Canadian rowers.
The Canadian Masters Championship is open to athletes aged 21 and older, with events across various age categories. The event provides an excellent opportunity for rowers of all experience levels to test themselves against top competition while enjoying the camaraderie and sportsmanship of the Masters rowing community.
The Canadian Masters Championship and Henley Masters racing takes place as the kick-off event of the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, which will run from August 3-10, 2025. Known as one of North America’s premier regattas, the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta attracts domestic and international crews each year, showcasing the city’s longstanding rowing tradition.
