We’re pleased to share several leadership updates and new opportunities that reflect RCA’s ongoing investment in the leadership capacity needed to deliver on our strategic priorities and to position the organization strongly for the future.
Later this month, RCA will post two new Senior Leadership Team roles that will be instrumental in advancing key organizational priorities and strengthening our system for the future:
- Director of Pathway (Full-time, Permanent)
- Director of Operations (Full- time, One-Year contract with possibility of extension)
The Director of Pathway will help shape the future of athlete and coach development in Canada through to Brisbane 2032 and beyond. This individual will provide strategic leadership across the full pathway, supporting how leaders at every level of our sport identify talent, develop coaches, structure competition, and guide athletes at every stage of their journey. By connecting our domestic and high-performance systems, this role will help ensure a cohesive and aligned approach from community rowing through to Olympic and Paralympic success.
We’re also pleased to share that Chuck McDiarmid has recently stepped into the role of High Performance Manager. Reporting to the High Performance Director, he will lead the operations and logistics supporting RCA’s High Performance Program and National Teams. Please join us in congratulating Chuck in his move to this important role.
The Director of Operations is a Senior Leadership role responsible for several key corporate functions, including Human Resources, IT, Risk Management, and Communications, as well as Safe Sport, Member Services, and supporting special strategic projects. This role will support RCA’s corporate operations and improve the organization’s effectiveness, coordination, and capacity to deliver on its priorities. It is being offered as a full-time, one-year contract with the possibility of extension.
As always, we encourage our community to help spread the word and connect us with individuals who may be a great fit for these opportunities. We believe these roles will play an important part in shaping the future of rowing in Canada.
More information will be shared once the roles are posted later this month. In the meantime, early inquiries are welcome and can be directed to Jennifer Fitzpatrick, Interim CEO.
