Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) announces today that Senior National Team Coach Dave Thompson will be leaving the organization.

After a number of years of dedicated service to Rowing Canada Aviron, we take this opportunity to wish the very best to Dave Thompson in his future endeavours.

“With this change to our coaching structure, our number one priority is ensuring our athletes, coaches and support staff have the optimal training environment in the lead up to the Tokyo and beyond,” said RCA Chief Executive Officer, Terry Dillon.  “This was a difficult decision but one that was made with very careful consideration. We thank Dave for his significant contributions to the team over the last three years and wish him the best.”

The women’s national rowing program will continue to be led by RCA’s High Performance Leadership team and Olympic program coaches, Michelle Darvill, Phil Marshall and Lesley Thompson-Willie.
