The Great Indoors Map Challenge is back for Season 2023/24!

The Map Challenge is where you and your crew can embark on an incredible virtual journey departing from Mississauga, Ontario through to the prestigious city of Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, the location for the upcoming 2024 World Rowing Indoor Rowing Championships.

This is your chance to showcase your rowing prowess and team spirit as you navigate through this thrilling Map Challenge from Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA).

Find your Team Captain, gather your rowing partners and take on the ultimate challenge to prove that your crew is truly the best in the nation!

Not only will you be competing for the top spot, but you’ll also be fostering a sense of camaraderie and pushing your fitness boundaries along the way.

From November 20 through to December 12, submit your metres rowed on an indoor rowing machine and track your team’s progress on a live map as your team heads for Prague!

With RCA prize packs awaiting the top five crews at the culmination of the challenge, the stakes have never been higher. Get ready to make a splash in the world of indoor rowing and pave your way towards glory!

The Challenger Series consists of six challenges that can be completed at any time during the months of January and February. Individuals who complete all six challenges will receive an RCA prize pack. Participants in the Challenger Series will also receive four-week novice and intermediate training programs. Registration will open in mid-December.

Great Indoors challenges are open to both RCA members and non-members. All participants must reside in Canada.

The Great Indoors is an RCA initiative that was launched in 2021 with the goal of growing and promoting the discipline of indoor rowing in Canada. Our online hub for indoor rowing resources, news and events can be found here.
