Introducing New Members of the Board of Directors
- Rowing Canada Aviron
- Sep 19, 2025
Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) held its Annual Meeting last night, which included the announcement of the results to elect the President and the Athlete Director. Tracey Black (Toronto, ON) and Aaron Lattimer (Vancouver, BC) were elected to the RCA Board, each for four (4)-year terms.
After the period of voting, the Members elected the above two incoming Board Members to replace outgoing President, Carol Purcer and Athlete Director Lindsay Bergen.
“Member clubs are the heart of our sport. They are where athletes grow, where coaches inspire, and where volunteers dedicate themselves to making rowing possible. Thank you to everyone who engaged in this election process,” said new RCA President, Tracey Black. “When I put my name forward for this role, I made several commitments: to bring our member clubs and the board closer together; to provide effective leadership and governance; and to promote a culture of trust and respect. These commitments are the foundation for how I intend to serve.”
“It is with profound gratitude that I accept this position,” said newly appointed Athlete Director, Aaron Lattimer. “I am honoured to be selected to represent the values, interest and spirit of the athletes, drawing on the indelible success our alumni have achieved. Through listening, humility and dedication we will be grounded on strategizing and delivering on an exciting environment for the current and future athletes who proudly wear the red and white.”
Following the Annual Meeting the RCA Board of Directors have appointed Jane Stamp as the Treasurer for a two (2)-year term.
