Jean-Christophe (JC) Marly

JC Marly has been committed to creating an inclusive community rowing experience in Toronto for over twenty years. His contributions include the introduction of coastal rowing and open water rowing to Hanlan; the creation of the club’s evening rowing program, which has become Hanlan’s largest program by virtue of having open water boats that are appropriate for rougher afternoon and evening conditions on Lake Ontario; volunteer board member for more than a decade, and club President from 2017 – 2021. As club President, he oversaw the club’s board during the construction of the new Boathouse in 2019 and helped navigate successfully through the COVID-19 pandemic.
