Have you ever thought you would like to try rowing at Elk/Beaver Lake? Here is your opportunity! It’s not too late yet to get started before the winter kicks in. The Victoria City Rowing Club (VCRC)has a variety of different programs available for ages 11 to 80+. The boathouse is located on the south eastern shore of Elk Lake. Currently the building houses over 437 boat seats and is home to some 1470 resident rowers most of whom are included in the 5000 regatta participants who use the facility annually. Tour the site of many Olympic rowers, try out an erg (rowing) machine with proper technique and get in a sculling shell. Enjoy the beauty of Elk Lake with its stunning sunrises and sunsets while learning a new sport, being physically active or pushing your own physical and mental limits. If this interests you, there are lots of options available to start and continue rowing with qualified and fun coaching. Start this new adventure individually or with a friend and sign up for one of our programs. Sign up via: https://membership.rowingcanada.org
