Registration for the 2025 Rowing Canada Aviron National Conference is now open with an exciting line-up of speakers and topics you don’t want to miss!
The annual conference will be held virtually from January 24 to 25, 2025, with the Semi-Annual Meeting taking place on January 26. With the theme United By Water: Shaping the Future of Canadian Rowing – Pathways, Performance, and Purpose, the conference was thoughtfully designed for our entire community. It features sessions for rowers and community leaders such as coaches, umpires, and administrators.
John Atkinson, National High Performance Director and National Coach for Swimming Canada, will open Friday’s program with Sustaining Performance – Aligning Expectations across the Pathway. His keynote will share the evolution of Swimming Canada’s High Performance Program and the alignment required by everyone involved in the Pathway.
Additionally, Jill Sadler, Vice President of Learning and Development at Blueprint Management Consultants, will speak to how artificial intelligence can help rowing organizations attract new participants and increase club memberships. In her interactive workshop, Rowing Smarter: Leveraging AI for Growth, she will explore practical AI-driven tools that support marketing, recruitment, and community engagement.
In Saturday’s keynote, Podium Performance Based on Trust and Respect Behaviours that Build the Team, Olympic Rugby Team Coach, Jack Hanratty, and Rugby 7s Olympic Silver Medalist, Chloe Daniels, will share the strategy and daily behaviors that created a silver medal winning team on and off the field. Join us for this session to learn about the challenges they faced and conversations that were required to develop the winning style of play in each practice and game leading up to the Olympic final.
Registration is $150 for members of Rowing Canada Aviron and $165 for non-members. Conference details and registration information, can be found HERE.
