Come Try Rowing 2026: Save the Date

Come Try Rowing 2026: Save the Date

Delivered through a collaborative effort from Member Clubs, Provincial Rowing Associations, and Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA), National Come Try Rowing Day is a nationwide initiative that creates opportunities for everyone in Canada to experience the sport of rowing.

This year, National Come Try Rowing Day will take place from June 12-14.

Clubs may choose to partner with other rowing clubs or local community groups to host their Come Try event, which can incorporate Indoor, Flatwater, and/or Coastal rowing skills.

In total, 77 people of all ages came out to our Come Try event and tried out our beautiful sport. They got the chance to see our boats, meet our staff, and even try a crew boat with our rowers.” – Club d’aviron de Boucherville

Since National Come Try Day began in 2021, Member Clubs have retained hundreds of participants from their Come Try Rowing events, and thousands have picked up an oar for the first time.

It was also really great to see how the event brought out our sense of community amongst our members.  Everyone was keen to share their love of the sport and the water. A strong collective value of our club is supporting each other, and that was definitely exemplified.” –  Salmon Arm Rowing Club
