Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) is seeking a full-time High Performance Director (HPD) to lead our High Performance (HP) Programs.

We are looking for someone with exceptional leadership skills, high ethical standards, and a deep understanding of both high performance and Safe Sport, to inspire our Team and to elevate our programs.

The HPD, reporting to the CEO, will work with RCA Leadership, to further RCA’s vision and to develop a strategy for Canadian rowing to achieve sustainable success at World and Olympic/Paralympic level.  The HPD is also responsible for directing and overseeing the HP leadership team and modelling respectful conduct and appropriate behaviour in all areas of our HP programs.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible management experience, preferably within the sport system at the provincial, national, and international levels, including a minimum of 3 years of experience at a senior management level.  Extensive experience in and knowledge of sport at a domestic and international (Olympic or Paralympic) level as well as management experience in finance and human resources are essential for this role.   The successful candidate must have both a philosophy and a track record of creating safe and inclusive environments that have athlete well-being at their core.

This position will require considerable domestic and international travel. Working knowledge of both Canada’s official languages is an asset.
