National Training Centre and Facilities Strategy Review
Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) is committed to achieving its vision of being recognized as a consistent world leading rowing nation and medal winning sport in Canada. To achieve this vision and as outlined in the RCA Strategic Plan, RCA has partnered with the Sport Law & Strategy Group to conduct a review of its National Training Centre and Facilities Strategy.
RCA communicated an update on its Facilities and NTC short-term plan to membership last November. This update outlined the intention to partner with an independent consultant firm to complete an environmental scan and consultation process to assist in the generation of RCA’s long-term (10 year) Facilities and NTC Strategy. This independent consultation will further assist to inform the decision making process for the location of the National Team’s training environments in the lead up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
RCA is campaigning to support five Next Generation Teams - Under 23, Junior, Under 21, CanAmMex and FISU who will be competing over the summer. Thanks to your generous donations we have raised over $40,000. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for these NextGen rowers who will be representing Canada on the world stage in Poland, Czech Republic, Mexico, China and New Zealand. Donations can be made to support all five Team Canada members or your funds can be directed to a specific team. Let’s support our #RCANextGen rowers!
