|DATE OF BIRTH||JUNE 27, 1986|

Year Started Rowing: 2013
First Coach: John Wetzstein & Ben Rutledge
First Rowing Experience/Program: 4 years ago with Row to Podium in Burnaby, BC. I was looking for a challenge and a family friend recommended I try over Thanksgiving Dinner. I said no thanks, rowing doesn't seem that hard. I don't think I have ever been so wrong in my life.
Love For Rowing: What I love the most has nothing to do with the sport. It's inspiring people I get to surround myself with, the mental & physical barriers I have to break through, and the life lessons the sport will leave me with. Having given up my career to pursue being an athlete, really makes me appreciate this opportunity.
Inspirational Quote: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it's the courage to continue that counts"
Favourite Sports Team: Vancouver Canucks
Career Highlights: 2016 Henley Women's Regatta-W1X (1st); a really prestigious stretch of water to race on & the only women's only regatta in the world.
Hobbies: Sleeping, Eating & Gardening: it's nice to be able to cook with herbs & veggies you grew yourself.
Top Tip For Getting Up Early: Phillips Hue Lightbulbs: to gradually brighten my room in the morning; it helps me wake up naturally and is cheaper than a dedicated light alarm clock.
Favourite Post-Workout Meal: Homemade pizza dough, with mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, ham & tons of pineapple
Favourite Place To Race: Henley-on-Thames, England
Favourite Place To Train: Elk Lake
